NBA Lockout: 10 Rookies Who Would Have Been Better off Staying in the NCAA

Yes-you guessed it! One of them was kawhi! I’m still not convinced that Kawhi Leonard is going to be a great NBA player, although my fears were drastically reduced when the San Antonio Spurs showed confidence in him. The problem is that Leonard is good at everything but doesn’t have a single skill that stands out. I would have liked to see him spend one more season at San Diego State and really work on one aspect … Read entire article »

Aztecs’ Kawhi Leonard leads small forwards in NBA draft

After all, he moves well with and without the ball, shoots 59.5 percent from the field and 56.8 percent from downtown and is a trusty 75-percenter from the free-throw line. Mock Draft has Thomas going 52 to Denver

Malcolm Thomas of San Diego State raised his draft stock tremendously by attending and impressing at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. What do I mean? One year means his draft stock increases. Look for Kawhi to be a top 5 draft pick in 2012. The Aztec line-up for 2012 just got a hell-of-lot better. Let me know what you think. Was this a good move for Kawhi? I think so; no, I know so! Article viewed:122 … Read entire article »

Brandon Heath signs with Lakers

Former SDSU basketball standout has signed with the Lakers’. Although a “training camp” signing he now has an opportunity to make in the NBA. His storied history with the Aztecs did not garner much attention during the 2007 draft; however, he found a home in France playing for the Entente Orleans during the 2007-2008 seasons. After a European tour, Heath came back to the states and played for the Los Angelos Clippers Pro-League team where he average 5.6 points per game. Brandon Heath established his basketball prowess by setting many Aztec records; most notably, he amassed 2,189 points during his 4 year tenor at SDSU.
