2009-2010 Season Media Predictions?
General consensus is, the Aztecs will finish second, BYU first. I fail to see the love for BYU; losing Lee Cummard equates to significant loss in scoring power (especially from the arc). In my humble basketball opinion, this season is State’s to lose. The talent and depth that Fisher will entertain this year is quite impressive. Kawhi Leonard is the Next Billy White times 2. Malcolm Thomas is an NBA prospect and rounding out the less notable; yet, capable players are Tim Shelton and Tyrone Shelly-two big, lengthy individuals that will destroy in the paint. Oh, did I forget Brian Carwell, the true center out of Illinois.The athleticism, size and power of this team are impressive. NCAA’s for sure and a second round appearance is achievable.
