Hoke Retort Week – Article 1: Hoke-the-Joke
The Jokerines and Hoke-the-Joke will be schooled by SDSU. Hoke-the-Joke is a traitor and needs to be taught an invaluable lesson in humility and disgrace. When you betray a community and a team of devoted players by selling them out for a selfish and futile endeavor, you need to be punished severly. Hoke-the-Joke is a coward and will lose to team set out to show that Hoke-the-Joke is just that a big-fat joke! The Jokerines will be smothered by Long’s pounding Defense; Hillman will have a field day eclipsing the 200 yard rushing mark. Michigan will burn in flames and the disparate Jokerine fan will once again scratch their head when asking why the administration caved-in and selected the third choice for the coaching Job. Faulk to the Hall of Fame: but remember that Heisman Snub?
It’s funny-about Marshal Faulk and SDSU that is. You know the guy who finished SECOND in the 92 Heisman!! Come to think of it, who finished first? That’s right, your probably scratching your flee-infested cranium right now trying to answer that conundrum! Well it was the Wachovia Securities Financial Advisor Gino Torretta. You heard me; a financial advisor–NOT A SUPERBOWL WINNING, FIRST BALLOT HALL-OF-FAMER!!!!! No surprise here. The media and the CORRUPTED selection committee have gone to great efforts to forget about that blunder and their perfidious bias during the 1992 selection. Faulk should have run away with the Heisman; everybody knows it. The Heisman and the BCS are big jokes! Congratulations to Marshall. You certainly earned it. Your kidding-Kansas!
I mean your kidding right Kevin Johnson. Kansas over San Diego! I mean surely you jest; or, maybe you are just too stupid to jest. You turned down hot women; beaches; nightlife, America’s finest city and most of all, a top-10 powerhouse basketball program for KANSAS! I mean you must be kidding; I know April 1st has past, so your joke isn’t funny at all. Now-now, come to your senses and just tell everyone it’s just a simple mistake and you really do want to play for SDSU-not prairie-vill Kansas. Who in their right freak-in mind would choose Kansas over SDSU. This maneuver has broken all boundaries of common sense; the ubiquitous dumb just got dumber! Wow! Has the modern day athlete lost all of his critical thinking skills? By the … Read entire article »

UCONN wins: however, Big East is still Overrated
Basketball betting: Triple Play System Eleven teams from the big east (that’s right-ELEVEN!) had a chance to make the run; and only two got past the round of Sixteen. The odds were bound to be in favor of the overrated Big East. It’s just that simple. They had eleven chances to supplant a team into the Championship. That unto itself is a travesty; a miscarriage of Basketball justice. Ostensibly, one can see that efforts to ensure that Advertising revenue; TV ratings and Big East National Exposure by the NCAA; the AP and ESPN were top priority. Charles Barkley had it right, the Big east was overrated, and as a consequence, many well-deserving teams worthy of tournament acceptance were snubbed. The bigger picture is not just about the Big East and their … Read entire article »

BYU gets lucky from behind the ARC and the better team lost!
BYU stood little chance of winning the game except, if and only if, they got hot from behind the ARC. They did and they won. This is a classic case of the better team losing once again. As evident by the stats, BYU was over powered in the paint and really had no answer on the offensive side other than shooting from treville all day and hoping that the ball went in: that’s what we call luck folks. Remember, this is a team that AVERAGES 37% from behind the arc per game. They had no business shooting the way they did; and not being able to replicate that performance in the tournament will certaintly mean the quick demise of BYU. SDSU is clearly the better team athletically, and they showed … Read entire article »

Response to Steve’s Letter
That’s right Steve, step up and suppress freedom of expression. I know you were thinking the same thing when you made your comments about the Wyoming Coach’s firing. You couldn’t keep your mouth shut; in other words, you were expressing yourself via the First Amendment. Yet, the MWC was quick to quash that, and reprimand you accordingly. Was that fair-no! You were entitled to your opinion. Writing a letter admoniting the student body on what and what not to say, wear or show is Un-American-that’s right I said it!! As much as you have done for the University, tampering into the affairs of Individual rights and liberties is one area you must to stay out of. If BYU; its fanatical religion and the fans can’t take it then don’t watch or … Read entire article »

Letter From Steve Fisher to the SDSU Student Body
Dear Aztec Faithful - We know the energy and enthusiasm brought by The Show is what makes Viejas Arena one of the toughest home courts in the country. It is important to remember that when you are in the student section, you represent something greater than yourself. You represent San Diego State, and we need your help to make sure the representation of our university is a positive one. Our upcoming game against top ten opponent BYU will be televised nationally by CBS, and will be one of the biggest games in the respective histories of both programs. We always encourage The Show to continue to be the most creative, funny, and loudest student section in America, but we cannot cross the line into topics that are out of bounds and … Read entire article »

TCU wins the Rose Bowl: Its time for a Playoff BCS!!!
Well, once again the corrupt, money-grubbing self righteous BCS Bowl committee got it wrong – again. They screwed the MWC last year by sabotaging both Boise State and TCU when they matched those two teams against each other in the Fiesta Bowl; this conveniently prevented either of those teams from embarrassing an opponent from the SEC or Big 12 etc. This year they sabotaged an undefeated TCU team by preventing them from playing in the championship game. Now, TCU wins the Rose Bowl against one of the hottest teams in the nation Wisconsin. I am sick and tired of the BCS noonsense. Parity is prevalent within the NCAA, and Football programs regardless of the conference in which they reside, must be given an equitable opportunity to win the Championship. They are who we thought they were!!
That, of course, hearkens back to Dennis Green’s comment regarding the infamous loss to the Chicago Bears after leading 23-3 in the fourth quarter. The Aztecs did not lose in that fashion but, they lost and for most Aztec loyalist’s, this isn’t a surprise. Why, because they are who we thought they were; the Aztec’s that is. SDSU football has improved enough this year to triumph over the teams that they were expected to beat. In other words, it is safe to say that losses to Cal-Poly are a thing of the past. However, losses to Missouri, BYU and more than likely to TCU, UTAH and Air Force are probably going to happen. I know, call me pessimistic, but more accurately you can refer to me as a realist. SDSU … Read entire article »
