Aztecs empty “the Pit” again!

Well, now I completely understand why Drew Gordon decided to go to New Mexico: he’s no good! In any event, the Aztecs post another strong win on the road and in the pit no-less. The bench pulled through tonight and at altitude that turned out to be an important contribution. Defense disrupted passing lanes; forced steals and  and snubbed Drew Gordon in the paint all night.  LB had 9 points, 2 assist and no turnovers for the night. I’ll stop short of calling this his break out game, but we needed him to contribute and he did so in solid fashion. Thames had 22 points and will go down as my player of the game. This win gives the Aztecs their 56th straight win over unranked teams. The Aztecs finished with only 6 turnovers the entire game. Chase Tapley had 12 points and Jamal had his usual productive high flying night!

Good win for the Aztecs as they take sole possession of first place in the MWC, and next on the menu will be Air Force at the Fish Bowl in front of the Show-the only show!.
